Ingredients
2 cups Masoor Dal (Whole) - soaked for 5 hours
1 Onion - chopped
1 Tomato - chopped
1 inch Ginger - chopped
4 cloves Garlic - chopped
1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
2 teaspoon Kolhapuri Khanda Lasun Masala - or goda masala
3 teaspoons Sesame seeds (Til seeds)
3 teaspoons Dessicated Coconut
Instructions

To begin making the Kolhapuri Akkha Masoor Dal method, lets toast the sesame seeds and dessicated coconut on a scalding pot.toast them till they turn golden brown.

Grind it in the mixer to a creamy ground mix.Next pressure stew the masoor dal with aqua and seasoning for atleast 5 whistle.

Allow the pressure to release naturally.bring to temperature a flat skillet with cooking oil, introduce ginger and garlic and saute until softens.

introduce cut up onions and saute till they turn translucent.Later introduce cut up tomatoes and stew until the tomatoes turn mushy.

scatter seasoning and the other seasoning powders and stew until the raw smell goes away.introduce ground sesame and coconut ground mix and saute them as well.

introduce cooked masoor dal and introduce 1 cup of aqua.

Check for seasoning and leave it to bubble in stew.dish up the Kolhapuri Akkha Masoor Dal method along with Doli Ki Roti or bajra roti with salad by the side.
