  • 250 grams Curd (Dahi / Yogurt)
  • 1 Raw Banana
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder (Jeera) - roasted
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ginger - grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon White Urad Dal (Whole)
  • 1 Dry Red Chilli
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  • Salt - to taste

To begin making Raw Banana Raita method, pressure scalding up the plantain or raw banana for 2 whistles using a pressure cooker.Once it is cooked, pare the skin, zest it using a fine grater and keep aside.mix in the yogurt to a big dish and fluff up it into a creamy consistency.To this mix in the grated plantain or the raw banana, grated ginger, cumin dusting scented element, table salt and combine well.Now scalding up cooking oil in a small tadka wok, mix in mustard seeds, urad dal and let it crackle.mix in the red chilli and curry leaves and let it splutter.empty this tadka over the raita and dust a pinch of cumin dusting scented element on top.dish up the Raw Banana Raita along with veggie Biryani and Salad for the weekend lunch.
